Royal big sponsors are easily figures of the past. It is entirely up to many individual to collectively make the effort to propagate and maintain the Dharma for the benefit of sentient beings.

 

There are 2 main areas we can aspire to help the nunnery. 

    Tara Pujas are conducted daily

    except during vacations. The

    100,000 annual Tara Pujas are

    performed after Losar. Year  

    2009 is the 10th anniversary of

    this meritorous program.   

 

As we provide a brisk cup of tea on a cold morning, flowers for the shrine, nutritious food, medical expenses, we open our hearts. We wish for the nuns to have the basic needs, food and drink, decent accommodation, a proper place and the means to continue their dedicated practices. We reach out from our innate ability to connect with others; and each sustaining gesture helps keep Tibetan nuns, as well as their noble tradition, alive in today's world. Step by step, together we can make a difference.

 

Sponsors can contribute any amount towards the pujas and food and education for the nuns.This being the only Sakya Nunnery outside Tibet, the merit to help maintain the continuity of Sakya nuns to practise full-time is inconceivable
